Ronnie got his start at Seawright Funeral Home when he was just 13 years old after his father, Horace George, got him jobs both at Seawright and the grocery store. His father made a lifelong career for himself working at Seawright for over 61 years and knew that Ronnie would be excellent at following in his footsteps.
Ronnie continued to work part-time at Seawright while he was employed as a teacher, nursing home administrator, and insurance agent. In 1982, he began working full-time for the funeral home and became a licensed funeral director in 1984. After his father's passing in 1999, Ronnie has been a manager and partner of Seawright Funeral Home.
With the exception of his time spent in college, Ronnie has lived in the area his entire life. For over 40 years, he has been happily married to his wife, Jean, who is a retired R.N. and continues to work part-time at a laser and vein center. They have two adult children, Todd and Amanda, and two granddaughters, Sarah Ann and Sailor.
Ronnie remains extremely active when he is not working. In addition to spending quality time with his grandchildren, Ronnie enjoys singing in the choir at church and jet skiing. He also gets a thrill from flying single-seat ultralight airplanes and driving European sports cars.
